Former idols and actors, Park Yoo Chun and Park Jun Gyu seem to be attracting a lot of attention, especially in the Korean media.

Park Yoo Chun and Park Jun Gyu were labeled as state criminals due to their refusal to pay their obligations and being in arrears.

It was revealed that Park Yoo Chun and Park Jun Gyu did not pay hundreds of Won in taxes including royalty and income taxes.

Choi Wan Gyu, a famous drama writer, was convicted of secretly embezzling income of more than 1 billion Won (Rp. 11,963,510,000) and was included in the category of tax defaulter.

Playwright Choi Won Gyu, who wrote several hits such as “iris”, “lobbyist”, and “Prison Flower” is also on the list.

He was found guilty of evading taxes by falsely reporting unpaid labor costs to a writing assistant.

Choi Won Gyu was sentenced to prison for 1 year and 2 months, finally the Korean National Tax Service published the three of them and labeled them as state criminals.

On Thursday (14/12), the National Tax Service revealed personal information that there were 7,966 people who did not pay taxes and were often in arrears.

Singer and actor Park Yoo Chun reportedly did not pay taxes of 400 million Won (Rp. 4,790,132,000) and Park Jun Gyu did not pay taxes of 300 million Won (Rp. 3,592,800,411).

There are 41 organizations that accept illegal donations and 31 that evade paying taxes through websites.

The list of subjects disclosed are those who do not pay large amounts of tax.

Usually they are also in arrears or those who have a national debt exceeding 200 million Won (Rp 2,395,182,000) more than one year from the date of the arrears.

Including famous singers and actors Park Yoo Chun and Park Jun Gyu who did things that disobeyed the country.

First, Park Yoo Chun did not pay taxes amounting to 409 million Won (Rp. 4,896,089,110.18) including papak capital gains in 2016.

Park Yoo Chun’s name was revealed because he failed to pay a total of 5 taxes in 2016.

Next there is Park Jun Gyu who also did not pay taxes amounting to 334 million Won (Rp. 3,996,332,027.30) including comprehensive income tax in 2015.

In connection with this, an official from JQ Entertainment, Park Jun Gyu’s agency, provided a statement.

“We don’t know if Mr. Park Jun Gyu doesn’t pay taxes.”
