– Red Velvet’s Wendy and Seulgi play at BamBam’s house, the two talk about what to do challenges which is currently popular for KPop idols to carry out promotions.
Coming from the 3rd generation, Red Velvet’s Wendy and Seulgi say they still feel it culture shock with a culture of doing challenges with other idols.
Challenges itself started to become popular when KPop entered the 4th generation era, namely in 2020, pioneered by Zico when he released the song “Any Song”.
Apart from being with group members, KPop idols will usually invite other idols to join in challenges .
Previously, KPop idols did challenges along with anyone who is also doing promotions at music events.
However, as time goes by, KPop idols are becoming more and more intent on doing so challenges with idols, some of whom are even willing to go to other agencies’ practice rooms.
Present at BamBam House , Red Velvet’s Wendy and Seulgi expressed their feelings about having to face culture challenges every time a new song is released.
“Do you do a lot of challenges?” BamBam asked.
“Now challenges have really become a culture,” answered Red Velvet’s Seulgi.
“Doesn’t it feel like too much?” BamBam asked again.
Answering BamBam’s question, Red Velvet’s Wendy admitted that she likes being afraid to do something challenges with other idols because of one thing.
“I feel too much about myself. I want to do it, but I feel very regretful when I don’t do something well for others.
It also has to be done in a short time, right?” Red Velvet’s Wendy said she admitted feeling afraid to do it challenges with other idols.
Agreeing with Wendy’s statement, Red Velvet’s Seulgi even said that she did challenges in every promotion it becomes excessive.
“I think it’s too much,” said Seulgi.
BamBam then criticized the culture challenges , respond to the expressions of Red Velvet’s Seulgi and Wendy.
“Actually, it should be fun, not scary. “But this is increasingly becoming unnatural,” said BamBam.
Instead of just dancing past challenges , Seulgi revealed that she was thinking of different ways to promote Red Velvet’s new song, “Chill Kill”.
“I thought about how to promote this song in a different way than just dancing,” said Red Velvet’s Seulgi.
In BamBam’s House , Red Velvet’s Seulgi also revealed that she had a lot of worries about her comeback this time with the song “Chill Kill”.
